About this device

The Volcano Medic 2 is the Class IIa medical device version of Storz & Bickel's Volcano Hybrid, manufactured in Germany. The hardware mirrors the Hybrid closely — digital control from 40°C to 230°C, both balloon and whip delivery, app connectivity — but it carries medical device certification assessed beyond the standard for a consumer product. That certification is the reason to choose it: for patients who need certified hardware for prescription use, insurance reimbursement or clinical documentation, the Medic 2 is the appropriate choice. If you do not need the regulatory paperwork, the standard Hybrid offers the same vapour for less.
